Charity Bazaar for Japan's Tsunami & Earthquake Victims

The Charity Bazaar was organized by Perwakilan Muscat with the help of other ASEAN Embassies such as Brunei Darussalam, Republic of Indonesia and Thailand. The bazaar opened to public at 9am where it took place at our Acting President Perwakilan Muscat's residence.

The Malaysian stall was set up beautifully with Perwakilan Muscat banner, Tourism bunting, and of course, Malaysian delicacies such as Rendang Daging & Pulut Kuning, Nasi Lemak, Laksa Sarawak, Nasi Dagang, Nasi Kuning & Rendang Ayam, plus many other Malaysian kueh.

Perwakilan Muscat members rolled up their sleeves despite of the hot weather selling the food and some other items such as fridge magnets and key chains, dry food e.g. curry powder, belacan, keropok, etc. I must say our food sold like hot cakes!

Brunei, Thailand and Rep. of Indonesia ladies, also shelved their local dishes which attracted many visitors too..Despite of the last minute preparations which was planned only a week before the bazaar, we managed to pull quite a decent figure of crowd to the Bazaar.

Spouse to H.E. Ambassador of Japan, Madam Yoshiko Morimoto managed to spend a few minutes visiting the Bazaar and bought a few delicious dishes from each stall. She was impressed and thankful for us having great effort to organize the Charity Bazaar.

We imposed the entrance fee of 500 baiza (RM3.20) for the visitors which contributed a lot to the collection plus the sales of food and other items from all four stalls. We managed to pull the sum of OMR907.600 (RM7000) which was a great amount from a small Charity Bazaar.

Well done all ladies from Malaysia, Brunei, Indonesia & Thailand.

Malaysia Boleh, Brunei Pasti, Indonesia Bisa, Thailand success!
